A Hero for All Professors

Liviu Librescu survived the Nazis, stood firm against the Communists, and sacrificed his life for his students. And lest anyone think his accomplishments were all behind him, look at the curriculum vitae of this amazing man.

"Hero" may not be a strong enough word to describe Liviu Librescu, professor and martyr. May he rest in peace, and may his memory live forever.
